Head of Service Design
Are you a leader looking for a workplace where you can improve people's lives, and not only add monetary value? You've come to the right place!
Elsa Science is growing! As our Head of Service Design, you will play an integral part in building our story – supporting people living with a chronic disease, to help them live life to its fullest.
You'll help us to reach our full potential globally, focusing initially on the US market. As the leader of the design team, you will guarantee that our services and products stay at the forefront and meet the high product and business demands, but most importantly – our users’ needs. We look forward to sharing our vision with you and learning about your ideas about the future.
We can’t wait to meet you!
Who we are and what we believe
Elsa was founded to change the fact that there is no science-based, individualised treatment support for people living with chronic disease to optimise their quality of life.
Our goal is to be a motivational and educational digital platform that brings individuals, families, health care providers, medical companies and scientists together through seamless data sharing and powerful communication for a greater good: to detect and manage the illness, improve healthcare and empower the individual to reach a new normal and live life to its fullest.
What you'll do
As our Head of Service Design you’ll lead with a design-thinking approach to system & service design, supporting our company and our goals throughout the process.
Our current main focus will be on delivering a service for rheumatic care management including a self care tool for patients (B2C) as well as a clinical decision support tool for health providers (B2B). We’re working towards an Elsa with smarter features, using all the data being collected, and to generalize our service into a data platform.
Who we are looking for
To be successful in this role we think that you’re passionate about building and scaling services and have an honest desire to impact people’s lives for the better. You see yourself as a strategic contributor to the service development with an ample range of skills: stakeholder empathy, facilitation, excellent listening, coaching, analysis & synthesis in complex contexts, and a courageous business flair.
We'd love if you have experience from the challenges and opportunities within the healthcare sector and understand the complexity of the ecosystem where not only patients and healthcare providers reside but also scientific researchers, payers, pharmaceutical companies, regulators and many more.
On a day-to-day basis, you will:
- Assume the role of “design evangelist” in our company, working closely with the designers/product team to empower and promote creative contribution as well as the rest of the company to encourage and promote a creative atmosphere in which to operate.
- Throughout the design process you will assist with defining the measurement and important metric (OKR framework) success factors.
- Contribute to the understanding, shaping and executing on our US market service strategy (and other markets to come).
- Break down complexity by visualization, user journey mapping, storytelling and blueprints of the healthcare ecosystem.
- Plan for good quantitative and qualitative data.
- Synthesize data into actionable insights and service hypotheses.
Who you are
You probably have:
- a calling to impact people's lives for the better
- leadership experience; at least 10 years as a manager
- been a part of scaling a service and a team
- knowledge and experience of creative processes, tools and methods
- worked at a startup or used agile development processes in dynamic environments
- great experience in working cross functionally
- willingness to coach, mentor and empower your team members
- excellent interpersonal skills
- client side experience (for example working towards healthcare providers, payers or pharmaceutical companies)
You need to be:
- fluent in English
- a team-player who thrives in dynamic working environment and a growing team
